Contemporary round Rug Radius.Uno: The Charm of Design in an Eclectic Berlin Home
An eclectic home in the melting pot of Berlin, the capital of design and contemporary art. The young homeowners couldn't help but be fascinated by Radius.Uno, a proposal from the Formenuance collection, presented at the 2022 International Furniture Fair.
Radius is the circle as a space for creativity, where elements float freely, inspired by nature, and colors alternate seemingly without rules. The Uno variant features a design highlighting three large areas, defined only by color blocks. In one-third of the circle, free lines flow, creating irregular swirls.
The Uno.a version is crafted in various shades of beige, with intense colors standing out, including ochre yellow dominating one sector and the complementary ultramarine blue, a detail that stands out among the fluid lines flowing in the opposite section.
For the Nordic home, albeit in an urban setting, a hand-tufted contemporary round rug has been crafted from wool and viscose. This amalgamation ensures a soft touch and the sheen of silky yarn, creating a textile of substantial thickness that imparts warmth and a strong sense of welcome to the spaces it adorns. The neutral base tones serve as a backdrop, enhancing the color blocks echoed by a wall in the room with an intense shade of blue and the yellow of the spacious sofa. In the context of a traditional dwelling, these contemporary elements find optimal placement, daring a bit and drawing attention to the details and connections between the classic structure and design accents.
