THE PLATINUM CUSTOM RUGS STAND

Change of direction in the image of Platinum Custom Rugs that at the Salone di Milano was presented in a new guise. The stand focused on the clear, very clear colour of the walls and furnishings, and on aerial elements that structured the space without closing it. The goal was to create a “transparent” environment that would make the behind the scenes of our aesthetic proposal visible. An expositive clarity that has well communicated the sense of custom work, the rugs ia a real strong point of Platinum Custom Rugs. The materials and moodboards made evident at first glance the characters of the collections and the customer could immediately orient himself in the direction that best corresponded to his design style. We have clearly seen the preference of the Arab world for our Classici, which interpret a traditional taste in a current key, in the light of Italian creativity.

From construction to design, from the design of a pattern to the development of a textile scheme, from yarns to colour palettes – it strikes the customer who knows how to go beyond the demand for immediate availability of a piece of furniture and seizes the opportunity to transform each element into a unique piece. 

The concept of custom design results in a total look in which the rug becomes the focal point, because it amazes for its quality to complete and surprise with detail in perfect harmony with the whole. 

The Salone 2022 had well-defined peculiarities, starting from a massive presence of international customers, mainly from Eastern Europe and the Balkans and the Baltic States (while visitors from Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom were rare) and of course the Arab countries. For the more distant origins, India and South America have been well represented, while almost total absent the customers coming from the war areas (Russia and Ukraine) and from China.

The Imago and Cosmos collections

Have been very successful, despite the fact – or perhaps because – they were presented two years ago.
The pandemic has marked a time of suspension, the absence of new proposals at the international level, a time during which the taste has matured, elaborating with slow pace the 2019-2020 trends.


It is undoubtedly easier to follow a trend than to propose it. In this regard, our latest line “Formenuance” goes further, is challenging and perhaps forces the customer to a bold leap.
That’s why the new collection liked it, but it was greeted with a mixture of caution and desire.
It is recognized to our brand to be, once again, a pioneer of style, you can admire the new lines, but they still represent a frontier that is not for everyone.
