From the first steps among the set-up spaces, the desire to illuminate with warm hues - dove grey, anthracite, and sand - immediately stands out as the protagonists of the next furnishing. Everywhere, there's more daring with bold shades, elsewhere the pleasantness of complementary colors masterfully combined with each other is rediscovered. These chromatic embraces hint at the courage and vision of new atmospheres that are particularly interesting for the near future.
But the Milan Furniture Fair is - and has always been - a laboratory for experimentation and cross-pollination to shape one's inspirations. And this year too, the trends speak of alternative worlds like that of unique pieces for modular furnishings. No more predefined sets of environments ready for the home to be integrated tout-court, but furnishings created with different complements, each with its own style and identity, combined according to a highly personal living idea.
And that's not all: from the Milan Furniture Fair 2023 comes also this fresh desire for freedom and naturality, in ideas as well as in reality. The many proposals for the outdoor that emerged among the stands are a sign of a clear trend shift in the post-Covid world. The focus is on what is outside and what is natural: furniture elements made of recycled and recyclable materials, or crafted in sustainable fibers, are increasingly populating gardens and terraces. The market feels this desire to expand spaces and ensure a beautiful, sustainable, and enjoyable outdoor comfort, certainly a fundamental drive that is pushing companies to follow this path and us to enhance every rug design for any environment.
