Natural pigments for luxury rugs
Dyeing of the yarns is one of the phases of work that characterizes the production of hand-made rugs.
For our exclusive projects, we use yarns made with the work of master dyers in India, a country that boasts one of the most glorious schools in the world, and that still carries on the ancient millenary tradition.
For dyeing is used natural pigments and processes that are handed down in the artisan shops, from generation to generation.
There is no real school, but only the support of skilled master dyers.
Being an artisan production, the Pantone reference will only be the starting point for custom recipes to create color combinations.
Each nuance is a real secret of the dyers, result of their ability to dose pigments: the tone that is obtained at each bathroom will be different, unrepeatable, just as it happens in nature, where we observe the infinite shades of each element.
In artisan production, any variation compared to the standard is a reason of worth and is an expression of the uniqueness of the piece and the art of its creator.

This also helps to increase the worth of the yarns, and consequently the rugs that are made with them. The bright colors are obtained from decoctions that use plants, roots, flowers, insects and minerals; they are kept extraordinarily vivid and over time see a very slow wear, the result of a natural, physiological but always harmonious process, that becomes a reason for further charm and preciousness of the artifact.
Millennial tradition for the coloring of yarns in a natural way
If you want to go into detail, moreover, the reason for appreciating a product with these features is also given by its healthiness and eco-compatibility.
Not using azo dyes and heavy metals, the rug will thus be in tune with a lifestyle that also includes attention to the environment among the elements of luxury, in the broad sense, to the health of living and, not least, of those who work for the production of interior design elements.
From the creative idea to the design, translating a concept into the language of weaving. This is how we create luxury rugs that are perfectly in tune with a general interior design idea.
